About Kevin Sagara

Kevin Sagara explores topics related to time and technology. Graduating from San Jose State University in 2022 with a Bachelors in Digital Media Art, using technology as a tool to investigate the role it has become in daily life is central to his message. Sagara uses film and digital collage to provide a sense of the passage of time in a highly digitalized world. By doing so, he aims to create a space for reflection in the very same manner that takes time away from society. In addition to these concepts, language has become a central part to his art philosophy and art making.

Sagara’s work is influenced by artists such as Julian Oliver, through the ideology that technology can be an opportunity rather than a threat. Due to a past history in computer science and graphic design, Sagara’s work takes on a style that relies heavily on the visual aesthetics of his work. By using striking visuals, can he invoke the feeling of overstimulation and sensory overload.
